Where I read: WEEK 1
This is one of my favorite place on earth. Bus front seats!! I can read while the bus is moving and I won't get dizzy. That's taken on my way back home from school after my last day of college lecture EVER. <3 I can feel the graduation caps and gowns coming.
Evia Rd. in Alabang, while waiting for my mom pick up something. Took her forever so I was able to read about 3 chapters.
I've been stuck on my study table all week cause of the upcoming finals. But what's sad is, I've read more than reviewed.
While waiting for my jeans to finish bleaching. The arrow is where I left it soaking.

First... I want a pet cat inside my house. Any colored cat with a really short hair (so he won't have to litter the unit with his fur) and round pupils.
PERFECTION
I am in love with cityscapes. I want my unit to have a view of various buildings so at night, I can be able to see this type of scene. My own personal night light.

"A guy challenges himself to say "yes" to everything for an entire year."
This is the kind of movie I watch when I'm down in the dumps. I love the characters!! Jim Carey is dabomb when it comes to comedy movies and Zooey Deschanel is just adorably quirky. Plus there's an eye-candy in the form of Bradley Cooper. Made me want to take that "covenant" too, as a challenge to myself. Say "yes" to everything. Heheh. Labels: movie REVIEW: 4 Things Everyone Gets Wrong About Introverts by Cracked
Apparently, being an introvert is an acceptable social fad now. I can almost smell the days where the "Extrovert Ideal", (term coined from "Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World that can't stop Talking by Susan Cain) or the thinking that extroverts are far more superior in life and that introverts are pathological, would be a theoretical anomaly. From all the articles cracked, buzzfeed & thoughtcatalog have been releasing regarding introversion, people now have been understanding us more and more and realizing the benefits of being one. And as an extremely introverted person, this gives me some sort of peace of mind that people will understand whenever I abruptly disappear off the face of the earth to "energize".
So Cracked.com recently released an article named "4 Things Everyone gets Wrong About Introverts", it's very imprecise although I'm not disagreeing on any points. It's just that, I've read better articles.

Mac Dilemma + SimCity4
I've been using a paper-thin Macbook Air since December 2011. I didn't regret buying it back then. I've been vying for a Mac since I was in highschool and so when I had the window of opportunity to have one as a Christmas present, I grabbed it by the balls. The issue here is I'm a gamer girl. Operative word being "girl" because I am not fond of war games (COD, Counterstrike) or RPGs. I am more inclined towards simulation games, like the Sims, and my own personal secret, gory zombie games like Resident Evil. Apparently, if you aren't acquainted with the Mac dilemma, there are only a handful of games you can play on your macbook. That is, unless you do some sort of partition and install a Windows operating system alongside the OS Lion. I know Sims 3 is available for macs but it's a big file and my laptop is already running on 10GB worth of free memory. Not enough to play it. I've only been craving for Sims 1 or 2, both of which are small enough for my ram capacity. Anyway, in order to remain sane.. I settled for the next best (next to nothing) and downloaded SimCity4 Rush Hour.
And honestly, it is quite addicting.
You guys go download it for yourselves. You'll feel like an economist at heart seeing as you have to allocate your land area, funds, and resources to build a city and satisfy your people's need.

US Embassy: Visa Application Experience
My constant prayer within the day was
"Lord, nakakahiyang lumabas dito ng rejected, kaya please, ok?"
"Lord, it's embarrassing to come out here with a rejected application, so please, ok?"
Yeah, I'm kinda tight with my daddy God.
The experience was nerve-wracking. And the long-ass wait did not help at all! I think it even exponentially increased it.
I don't want to relive every step I did, but here are some tips
<fast forward to the interview step>
There was this girl before me that took forever to finish with her interview, I think it took her more than 10 minutes. So I had time to listen to the other interview scenarios around me in hoping that I could distract myself to stop fidgeting. Apparently, it did NOT help at all cause when you think that the rejection-rate at the US embassy is insignificant...
WELL HELLO. You actually hear more "denied visa application" than "accepted".
Eventually, the girl before me finished (she got issued a temporary refusal and would have to return) and I had to face my biggest encounter for 2013.
My consul was a Caucasian male, about 35-years old. I've been secretly praying to get that type of consul cause I think I'd have a better fighting chance. ;)
Me: Good morning.
My tip for visa applicants is to show them that you have a strong economic tie in the Philippines, that you will ALWAYS return back home cause you are better-off here. The consul people are looking for those who may have an intention of becoming an illegal immigrant or worker. And although that may be far from your real purpose, they need evidence.
Also, consistency and honesty. The truth will always prevail. *mwahahahaaha*
Maring
I'm blessed to be living in an above-sea level subdivision. When it comes to typhoons, our biggest threat are strong gust of winds and not heavy rains. And since our house is built on an adobe rock, we're assured that we have a good strong foundation.
Maring has suspended two-days worth of classes and made the whole province of Laguna declare state of calamity.
It's not funny anymore Maring. Get out.
My grandparents are currently living with us now after evacuating from their house which was submerged in waist-high flood. Last time that happened was during the infamous Ondoy. And how do I know that Maring is worse than that storm? My grandparents were able to return back home the next day after Ondoy, but now... I'm not even sure they could return next week.
Keep safe my lovelies. And #PrayForThePhilippines
