Twenty five to six
Sorry for not being able to post in the past week... been really busy with family events and bondings. :) I've been meaning to post what happened within October 25-29 so here it goes. I'm not going to post it all at once though or it'll be a TL;DR post. Two at a time.

Pet Peeves
Okay, I just noticed now that my pet peeves usually involve modes of transportation. Hmm.
Don't you TL;DR me.
We went to Noel's Bazaar at the Filinvest Tent yesterday and it was a so-so event. I've been to Christmas bazaars/fairs before, all in World Trade Center Manila, and I suppose this is the root of my high expectations on it's south counterpart. It was hot, for the entire time that we were there (2PM-4PM), we experienced two power shortages which meant they were only able to power up lights and not the aircons. Also, the place was poorly lit. There were areas/stalls that were a bit dark and that's not really working for the exhibitor's benefit. Got some good buys anyway.
When it comes to bazaars, ABS-CBN still got the upper hand. Looking forward to their Christmas bazaar on December and I'm pretty freaking sure that one will deliver. The Monday Currently
P.S
TSC (Monday Edition) header is a sneak peak of what my blog's look would be after the overhaul. Yep. WOOD THEMED. I love wood *giggles*

The taste of a kiss.
I want to buy the cough drops you were munching on when you were here... because I remember kissing you and tasting those orange Strepsils. And I want to reminisce what the former feels like again...

Getting your heartbroken is just as bad as it sounds. You will wake up one morning, thinking you just had a bad dream and you will realize..nope this is it. You will cry a lot, sometimes even in your sleep. You will think that you can’t go on another day without him, that your life no longer makes sense, and nothing else matters. Somehow though, you will pick yourself back up. You will realize there are SO many things in life that can make you happy and SOMEONE out there SOMEDAY will make you realize why it wasn’t meant to work out with him. You will know that you had to be with some wrong guys to know when you’ve found the right one. - Thought Catalog
This is true. Heartbreak is just like your late evening leg cramps, it hurts like hell and you just want to grab the nearest sharpest thing and start sawing your leg (or heart) off, but subconsciously you know that there will be that split second where the pain will be gone in a snap and you'll fall back to your deep comfy sleep (or comfy lifestyle).
Being an observant human being, I gathered a couple of tips to finally get to that "snap gone pain" moment from heartbreak.
ONE
Closure. It is a good thing to have closure. For people like me who spends most of her time inside her head, if closure is evasive your mind will KEEP ON formulating bullshit about what happened, why it happened etc etc and I assure you, it will get you nowhere but down.
My previous break up didn't have any closure until after 3 months. And although I tried to mask the dreadful event with positivity, there's always that nagging voice at the back of my head that constantly asked what did I do wrong.
Due to some circumstance, I received a text message around May (we broke up February) and he was asking for my forgiveness. I was not mad anymore so I said "okay, it's done. I'm okay". Being the polite person I am (
TWOYou know how they say "Love yourself first and foremost to avoid heartache and disappointment from loving others"? Sure, it works but I found another way to do prevention and cure.
"Know and comprehend how much God loves you and you'll never be depressed how conditional human love is"
It's very Christians-specific, but hey... it worked like aloe on a burn.
If you're further interested on how this helped me, listen to One thing remains - Jesus Culture, there's this part there that said "Your love never fails, never gives up, never runs out on me" and that line made me cry because of how amazing my God is when it comes to loving me. 1 Samsung S4 Zoom - the phamera (phone + camera). I want this so I would not need to bring the DSLR on my trip to the US. The space/weight that the SLR will occupy is probably equivalent to 3 bottles of Victoria's Secret lotion I'd give out as pasalubong.
2 Rimowa Salsa Air in Black - For travel purposes. I know it's effing expensive but hey, it's forever.
3 Leather iPad mini case - never been into the flashy and colorful cases (ask my phone and tablets), I want professional adult looking cases like this.
4 Moleskin Planner - or just any black leather bound monthly planner for 2014. No logos, coupons, etc. I want it plain.
5 Zara Shopping Spree - not really a fan of Zara but they do have nice winter-clothes. But then they're super expensive and even if I get the money (probably through divine intervention), I'll probably resort to ukay-ukay because of the guilt I'll get from spendng THAT much.
Stuff my mom says #2
#1Me: Nakapasok ka na sa Manila pen? Shang? Mama: Hindi pa, sa Philippine Plaza pa lang. Me: You mean Sofitel? Mama: Huh. Me: Sofitel... yun na yung name ng Philippine Plaza ngayon. Ang pangit no, parang motel lang ang dating. Mama: Hindi, parang marshmallow. Soft-itel. Hahahahha. #2 Skyping with Mama at work. Labels: mudra |
