REVIEW: Syoss Airly Curl
I've been on a hunt for curling creams since the one that I have been using (Hyssop Organic Brown Rice Glossing Fluid) works like a gel and makes my hair stiff. It doesn't damage my hair but stiff hair isn't attractive. So when I saw Syoss Airly Curl Cream being sold at Noel's Bazaar in Alabang, I just had to try it.I do not recommend this. I am okay with the texture during the application since I've been working with creams and solutions for 3 years now. It's super sticky which is a must for holding curls so I was impressed at first. However... after some time, at around early afternoon, I noticed my hair being covered with white dust-like stuff. It seems to me as if my hair is stripping a coat. At first I even blamed my cheapass conditioner, Alberto V05 (priced around $2), which I started using simultaneously with the Syoss Airy Curl Cream. It boggled me since I have used a variety of V05 products before so I figured it had to be something else. So I experimented... On one day I used the conditioner w/o Syoss and for the next, I used Syoss. And surprise surprise, we have a culprit. I didn't give up though, I tried applying it while my hair is still damp and while it has already been air dried. But to no avail, it still produced the white thingamajigs. It's a bother because it's very visible!! Yuck. Sigh. Still on a hunt.... Suggestions? |
