An excerp of "On Children" by Kahlil Gibran.
These stanzas are the parts of his poem I love the most. I love my parents to death, don't get me wrong... This is not a rant post but there are days where I feel like I'm being controlled. I've always believed they were put in that position by God to help and not dictate. Honestly, I am jealous of how things work here in America. Most Filipino families are so full of conservative traditions that I feel like there's no room to grow as an individual. It may just be my parents since I am an only child and the level of attention and concern has a high concentration, but one way or another, there will be that day that my room in their house will permanently be empty. Are you ready for me East Coast?
I've never really flown domestic and it'll be my first time tomorrow because I'm flying to New York!! I'll be leaving Ontario (Cal) then I'll have a layover in Salt Lake before I head straight to JFK. And that's another first for me too! When I flew from the Philippines to the USA, I had a direct (12-13 hour) flight so all I did was sit, stretch and sleep. Given that I'll only have a 50 minute layover in Utah, I'm still scared cause I don't have any idea what to do.And gaaah, the flight to JFK will take 4.5 hours! That's like an hour longer than the flight from Manila to Bangkok. And I'll have another timezone change (+3 PST) so jetlag might come up. East coast here I come!! Labels: travel eos Lip Balm hype
I've been hearing about eos lip balms a lot recently and I read mixed review about it. I never really needed one before since I had my Nivea Men's Lip Balm but I suddenly lost it so the California humidity has been taking it's toll on my lip and it started getting flaky. So while I was on my date at Target (yes, date... yes, at Target) I impulsively grabbed one by the check out counter without even bothering to check for the "flavor". I think I paid more or less $3 for it... which is a steal for me since I remember that they were sold for PHP250 back in the Philippines.
I got the Summerfruit... Aside from the packaging being cute as hell, I like how it catches my eyes that I am reminded that my lips need moisturizing. It only takes 2-3 swipes for the balm to fully coat my lip. The smell is really yummy but the taste sort of reminds me of latex.
What I like most about it is that I can apply it over or under my lipstick without it wiping away. For reference, my lipstick is the generic Sephora brand.
The flakiness is a bit gone, so I'm so-so on the moisturizing part of it.

I got a Park Hopper ticket for $137... I wanted to cry cause that is already more than enough for me to get a Kobo Glo from Barnes. :(
The weather was really lovely when we went to Disneyworld. It was hot enough for a sleeveless top but the breeze was cool that I didn't sweat.
This is the only character picture I had... We transferred to Disneyland at around 6PM so...
This is one of the rides I enjoyed the most, Radiator Springs Racers at Cars Land... Okay here's a TIP! Stop wasting your time in line just so you can sit with your group. The original line here takes 150 minutes but the Single Rider only took 35. Me and my cousin braved the SR line and we still got seated together. Given we were just probably lucky, but still... 150 minutes waiting time for a 3-5 minute ride? Waste of time.
Bra-peep. Lol
$4 cotton candy. It's a must for me to have cotton candy when I go to theme parks.
My head started to hurt at around midafternoon and I know that the only thing to cure it was caffeine. Huhu, this energy drink cost me 5 bucks... that's already venti machiatto from Starbucks.
I really wanted to get one... but there's this nagging voice at the back of my mind that's saying 16 bucks for a headband is insane.
My score for the Buzz Lightyear Ride.
Iconic.
