The Nest at Vivere Suites Alabang
After grad ceremonies, we headed straight to Alabang for my celebratory lunch. We were opting first to go to Sofitel or Fairmont, but I wanted an intimate celebration with my parents and I'm not sure if eating in Manila can guarantee that (cause people ew). So I chose from the hotels in Alabang (Acacia, Bellevue, Crimson and Vivere). But since I don't like buffets cause I have a light appetite so we ended up with The Nest in Vivere Suites cause they are a menu-restaurant which means we're allowed to take-home what we aren't able to finish.
I'm in love with my graduation dress. Fun fact: My graduation dress is cheaper than my toga rental fee. It's such a steal!!

January 11, 2014 marks the day of the end of my teenage years. I am finally 20!! Nothing feels different, I'll give it a few more years to settle in.
Birthday is Family Day! We planned to go to Tagaytay super early (around 6) and have brekky there then head back to Laguna since dad had an emergency at work and mom has a meeting with the village officers. But plans changed and we ended up just having brunch there.
Night before my birthday, I looked for good restaurants in Tagaytay and I decided on trying out Pamana Restaurant.
My mom loved the tinuktok. I have no idea what it is, I didn't bother. Ensaladang bagnet was very good but I wish they included mango. My favorite was the aligue rice!! Gah, I could eat that bowl all for myself.
HAPPY 20TH BIRTHDAY TO ME!!
I'll post a sentimental entry soon. I'm still finding the right mood.
My Year.
learned a lot in 2013 (the good, the bad, and the ugly)... excited to learn more on 2014.
JanuarySpent the New Year's somewhere between the seas of Malaysia and Singapore. Got aboard on Papa's ship to spend Christmas and NY with him. During port stays, we were able to roam around Labuan and Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia. Some sons of bitches are so inconsiderate that they have the decency to break up with you on Valentine's Day. Learned how to ugly cry in public places i.e school stairwell, hardware store, bus. Ew. March Moved on. Felt the unconditional love of my daddy God. April Drowned in books? Most likely. May I was able to prove that if you just let stuff go and let God do His thing, things will fall perfectly into place. Bangkok trip with the parentals!! June-August School. Meh. Last academic term of my college life. September September was definitely one for the books. I'm not gonna elaborate why, but I have a few moments here that I wish to relive AND forget (confused as fuck) October - November I learned the art of having a job. Internship months and I had fun. Made me excited to actually have a paying job. December Another one for the books. Aside from this being my favorite month ever, December 2013 also made me experience and feel what others have been looking for the whole year. Inspired by the "The Letter I Wanted from You" from Thought CatalogHey little girl, (side: he calls me little girl because I'm LITERALLY little, 5'0 plus a small frame, and our age gap is kind of huge [9 years]) Please don't worry about anything at all. We'll see each other again, have fun, and... we'll just probably wing the rest, but I promise that it will be better than what we had there. I'll show you around just like what you did when I was your place's tourist. We'll stay in touch and when you go here, which I hope is pretty soon, we'll meet up and we'll take it from there. Remember our deal? Every month you should at least meet someone totally new and continue to be in touch with him/her. Don't be afraid to talk to strangers, most of them mean well... just like what happened between us. Go to clubs, dance... cause I've seen you dance and you've got it going little girl. I'm glad to have shared a lot of things with you and I feel flattered that you have shared a lot of firsts with me. Every moment was amazing and your smile made everything more alive. I'll treasure them all. I know you don't like my process on being in a relationship... but if we click, you'll see that it's all worth it. You have a whole lot ahead of you, don't try and settle down too fast. If we're meant to be together, then against all odds, we will find our way back to each other. But for now... we need to go back to our own realities. I am not saying good bye, this doesn't feel like it, I'm saying see you later little girl, and by then, you'll be a petite lady. Boy |
