The Nest at Vivere Suites Alabang

After grad ceremonies, we headed straight to Alabang for my celebratory lunch. We were opting first to go to Sofitel or Fairmont, but I wanted an intimate celebration with my parents and I'm not sure if eating in Manila can guarantee that (cause people ew). So I chose from the hotels in Alabang (Acacia, Bellevue, Crimson and Vivere). But since I don't like buffets cause I have a light appetite so we ended up with The Nest in Vivere Suites cause they are a menu-restaurant which means we're allowed to take-home what we aren't able to finish.

I love the contrast between my skin tone and the interiors.

The Food

Buffalo Chicken with Bleu Cheese Dip. My dad loved this one that he even asked the waiter to pack-up the remaining dip.

Me and my dad were set on ordering steak. We're HUGE steak fans, from lamb to tenderloin, and even to your household "bistek".

My plate: Loaded potato with Artichoke, corn and mushroom siding.

Dad's: French Fries with Grilled veggies.

Mama's Order: Seafood medley (kebab, potato cake and fish fillet) and adobong kangkong.

Dessert Sampler: Frozen Brazo, Mango Creme Brulee, Red Velvet Cupcake

I'm in love with my graduation dress. Fun fact: My graduation dress is cheaper than my toga rental fee. It's such a steal!!

Birthday Celebration at Pamana, Tagaytay City

January 11, 2014 marks the day of the end of my teenage years. I am finally 20!! Nothing feels different, I'll give it a few more years to settle in.

Birthday is Family Day! We planned to go to Tagaytay super early (around 6) and have brekky there then head back to Laguna since dad had an emergency at work and mom has a meeting with the village officers. But plans changed and we ended up just having brunch there.

Night before my birthday, I looked for good restaurants in Tagaytay and I decided on trying out Pamana Restaurant.

My hair looks awesome but my caught-off-guard face looks ugh.

Yes, I went to Tagaytay wearing a sleeveless top.

Tagaytay is not cold per se, it's the breeze that will freeze your asses off.

Orders: Three Way Pamana Adobo, Tinuktok, Ensaladang Bagnet. Not in photo: Karekare, Aligue Rice

Due to the cold weather, the Three Way Pamana adobo's oil thickened up and kind of ruined the meal for me. The flakes were good though.
My mom loved the tinuktok. I have no idea what it is, I didn't bother.
Ensaladang bagnet was very good but I wish they included mango.
My favorite was the aligue rice!! Gah, I could eat that bowl all for myself.

HAPPY 20TH BIRTHDAY TO ME!!

I'll post a sentimental entry soon. I'm still finding the right mood.
