Regret
Regrets don't always come immediately after you do something.Sometimes you think that it's worth it. You think you won't beat yourself up in the future just because of that thing you did impulsively. But regret will always creep itself to you on way or the other. It might take weeks. It might take months. It might take years. It will haunt you and you will start to hate yourself... for not waiting... for not thinking... for not reserving good judgement... for not being aware of the consequences... Right now... I regret something... and it's breaking my heart that I am. Labels: essays Musical Preference
I'm only a 'legit' fan of a musician/band/artist if I love, not just one of their songs, but the whole album (or maybe at least 10 of their songs). So given that premise, I am a fan of (diverse selection ahead) Jason Mraz, Michael Buble, John Legend, Mike Posner (although it might be because he resembled someone I had a crush on), Allen Stone, One Direction (h8r go away), Arctic Monkeys, Foster the People, etc......And my newest craze... Haim!!
They remind me of Alanis Morissette with their straight-forward hair. And is it just me, or do they resemble Troian Bellisario Labels: personal What's in my carry on bag?
I've been meaning to test out my carry-on luggage for a while now. So far, I've only tested if my laptop fits in my bag.
1 - Nikon D3100. I really really wish I could put this in my check-in luggage. But my dad did that once and the lens has been a pain in the ass ever since. Charger. You cannot fathom how happy I am that this charger allows 110V. I don't know what you call this.2 - Gum. Gums never really did help my ear pressure problem but I do want to nibble on something once in a while. 3 - My extra pair of spectacles. Although, it's grade is 50 lower than actual... better prepared than sorry. 4 - Longchamp Le Pliage Large - Long Handle. I would never ever regret buying a genuine one. This bag is so sturdy, I might as well pack my parents in it. 5 - Sudoku. Sudoku amuses me so much, I used to do one puzzle (in pen!) before I go to sleep. 2 random books I got from Booksale. For whenever technology starts to show it's weakness 6 -iPad Mini. My iPad has a battery life of 4-5 hours which is equivalent to 1.5 books, good enough. Wish I had a Kobo instead of this. 2014 Planner. Where else to plan the rest of your life than n-feet up in the air. 7 - Laptop This laptop made me wish I still had my Macbook Air, it's bulky. iPad charger. If you're wondering why it's in blue, then you have no idea how the original one's price outrages me. Powerbank. I dub thee for my cellphone's exclusive use. Earpods. The best thing from Apple in my opinion. This has been with me for more than a year now. 8 - 18mm-55mm Nikon Lens. 9 - Bunch of pens and liners. 10 - Wireless Mouse. Because my laptop's touchpad is so glitchy. 11 - Wallet. Got this from Forever21 through saving my allowance. Worth skipping lunch. 12 - HyberCurl Maybelline Mascara + Blush Brush + Tiny Bottle of Victoria's Secret Pear Glaze + Maybelline Dream Liquid Mouse Foundation in Honey Beige + TBS Tea Tree Skin Clearing Lotion + Maybelline ColorSensational Lipstick in Rich Plum + Nivea Lip Balm for Men + Pot of Crushed unknown Blush. I just noticed how much of a Maybelline girl I am. I wanted to bring my moisturizer (Olay) instead of the TBS lotion but I think my oily-face is reserved when no one can see me.
This is what it looks like when I try to put it in my bag. Minus the personal necessities (#12). It looks spacious but whenever I try to carry it, I could almost hear my shoulders whimpering in defeat. I'll just have to fake my way through check-in that my bag weighs normal.
I have an attachable document purse where I'll put my passport, ticket, pens etc. Makes for easy journey through immigration, check-in and boarding.
Oh look a monopod, a messy bed and a very distressed girl. Sorry bout my hair and get up. I had a terrible headache which woke me up constantly last night so I'm not in my best disposition right now. Notice my necklace turned the wrong way.
Anyway, I just found out my phone's (S4 Zoom) tripod mount is actually standard sized which allowed use for this monopod. YAAAYYY for selfies. More awkward scenarios for me to be in!!!
i'm having layout issues! oh gaaadddddd. apparently, text only appears when it's italicized or bold (at least to Chrome and IE, I believe) I'll fix this first thing in the morning. Ugh. The Sunday Currently
Labels: tsc Raw (nef) shooting
I've read somewhere that shooting in .NEF (raw) feels like you're shooting using film. Not that I know anything about developing films except that they're done in dark rooms as to not ruin exposure. After owning an entry-level DSLR for almost 4 years now, I just found out recently that my camera allows .nef shooting. Yes, I'm that ignorant. So I've tried shooting RAW then having it developed and edited using Lightroom.
Cheap Thrills
I went on a cheap-haul today. Goes to show how frugal I really am on buying stuff.
Two pairs of sandals for 150php. I'll be bringing this on my travel (17 days from now!!) and before you go nagging me how low qual this will be, I've already tested one from their line and it's still intact like it's new when it's almost 8 months in constant use. It's Marikina made which makes it both cheap and sturdy. They have limited designs though.
A planner which was on sale cause it's already February (169php from 239php). I really wanted to wait for planners to be on sale cause my first quarter would be stagnant, it would be pointless to get one at the start of the year. And document pouch with clamp.
iPad Mini case for 400php. I was kind of hesitant to buy this cause I was able to buy a 250php one way back. But I really had to get one already cause my current case is so dilapidated that I'm sometimes embarrassed to put it out in public.
Powerbank 5400mAh from CD-R King for 480php. The biggest cheapskate purchase of the day. Hah.
The Nest at Vivere Suites Alabang
After grad ceremonies, we headed straight to Alabang for my celebratory lunch. We were opting first to go to Sofitel or Fairmont, but I wanted an intimate celebration with my parents and I'm not sure if eating in Manila can guarantee that (cause people ew). So I chose from the hotels in Alabang (Acacia, Bellevue, Crimson and Vivere). But since I don't like buffets cause I have a light appetite so we ended up with The Nest in Vivere Suites cause they are a menu-restaurant which means we're allowed to take-home what we aren't able to finish.
I'm in love with my graduation dress. Fun fact: My graduation dress is cheaper than my toga rental fee. It's such a steal!!

Highschool made me realize that friendship does not depend on matching personalities or whatnot. It depends on acceptance. You can be best friends with anyone, even your polar opposite, as long as both parties accept the weaknesses and strengths of each other. Shout out to my best girlies, Bea, Aira and Cat.College went by really fast. I think it was because DLSU had a trimestral system and everything was just so fast paced. Or because time really does fly fast when you're having fun. It had ups and downs, but college is awesome-balls. All of these leads to now... With me being an official graduate of DLSU-Manila, since Satruday, with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Applied Economics. I've done. He has done it. Happy sigh. Labels: essays quick update!
My eyesight is getting worse by the minute.
I just had my lens' grade changed 6 months ago , and now... my grade has again up-the-ante by 50 and my astigmatism has gone bad too. I got new glasses now though since my current one has been with me for two years now.
Maybe I'm just torturing my eyes so it can be high enough for a lasik. |
